Three Generations
It’s very rare in one’s career to get to dress someone you love, but last weekend I had the honor of dressing 8 of these women. They are women that inspire me, whom I respect, admire and love, unconditionally.

BEAUTIFUL JEN
Yesterday our hearts were full of love and joy celebrating my beautiful niece, Jennifer Mullen Vassallo’s wedding. I felt nothing but honor and pride at being asked to design her wedding gown.
The gown consists of a European Corded Lace bodice beaded in Pearls, Stones, 2-Cut beads and tiny Seed Beads & Double Faced Satin Trumpet Skirt with Seam Godets. The gown is finished with a French Chantilly Lace trim framing the neckline and skirt, Cotton Silk ribbons at underbust and waistline, and Satin Covered buttons down the back of the dress. The final accessory, Juan Diego, the debonair groom.

Embroidered in Degrade Pink Pearls and Sequin Florets, the beading gives it a 40’s and 50’s Parisian Couture flair, while the asymmetrical cut skirt and half train is totally 2025.

IN THE MOOD FOR………
Boards? Moodboards are an essential part of the design process. They serve as a road map, or an inspirational road map, if you will, when starting to design a new collection. The boards are filled with photos, fabric swatches, trims, beading ideas, sketches and any other materials which a designer, or design team, feels adds to the story trying to be told.
Here are a couple of our moodboards done for prior collections. One even includes a pic of a dress I designed while working for BCBG Max Azria in LA.

FLORA
We are thrilled to share with you an article that came out this past Sunday in El Nuevo Día’s Magacín section about our latest collection, Flora.
The new collection is inspired by everything flower, but done in an abstract and minimalist way. There aren’t your typical floral prints, nor a thousand different colors. The palette consists of Red, Black and Ecru, with one print rounding out the color range.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the people from Magacín, especially Leyra González, Editor-in-Chief of the publication, for her support and Florencia Garcia Melazzo for her beautiful writing. vassalloAtelier at The Castillo Serrallés
This past year we had the wonderful opportunity to shoot our beautiful dresses in one of the most iconic spaces in Puerto Rico, El Castillo Serrallés. Built in the 1930’s by the owner of the Destilería Serrallés, makers of one of the best rums in the world, Don Q rum, and designed by Pedro Adolfo de Castro.
It was a perfect backdrop for our one of a kind pieces. With beautiful Aslin Marie modeling the gowns we new something special was going to come out of it.
Thank you to the wonderful people working at the Museo Castillo Serrallés whom welcome us with open arms.
